Description

This course meets the latest requirements of STCW Table A-III/1, A-III/2, A-III/6
(Chief Engineer, 2nd Engineer, Electrotechnical Officer) with respect to:

    • Leadership style, leadership and management
    • Intercultural Communication, habits and attitudes of different nationalities
    • Assessment of personnel
    • Teamworking, delegation, target setting and review
    • Communication and motivation
    • Conflict management, conflict solving and handling strategy

Objectives

After successful completion of this course the participant will be able to:

    • Improve the personal leadership approach
    • Understand and use the importance of human element in shipboard operations
    • Understand and use principles of resource management, leadership and teamworking skills
    • apply the principles and practice of decision making
    • give an inside in handling of conflict management and cooperation with officials
