Port simulation studies in times of COVID-19 pandemic are challenging

Building on years of project experience, a well-trained technical team and a state of the art glas fibre infrastructure we have moved the studies to the internet. It is not only possible, but also has some major advantages such as experts do not have to travel around the world, flexibility of planning of simulation etc.

A major advantage is the direct online discussion of all parties involved while debriefing individual runs. It offers the opportunity to tackle complex problems on the spot right after the simulation, improving the outcome in a mayor way.

This is a good example that the COVID-19 pandemic must not stop the efforts for a safer maritime environment but rather challenges all parties involved to continue working for it!
