Description
This course provides training for non-seafaring staff in view of safety requirements on gas tankers and gas terminals. An introduction into liquefied gas , the operating cycle of a gas tanker and the different types of carriers is included.
Objectives
The following subjects will be covered:
  • Production and seatransport of liquefied gas
  • Different types of gas tankers, equipment and operating cycle
  • Laws and regulations
  • Cargo handling alongside a terminal, cargo calculation and documentation
  • Safety and ship / shore interface
