Description

An essentially practical course which consist of a series of exercises structured around the operation of the cargo and ballast installation of a chemical tanker and carried out in conjunction with a simulator which is in compliance with DNV ST-033 Standard “Maritime simulator systems”. The course is in accordance with DNV ST-008 Standard “Learning Programmes” standard and aligns with IMO Model Courses 1.37 “Chemical Tanker Cargo and Ballast Handling Simulator” and 2.06 “Oil Tanker Cargo and Ballast Handling Simulator”.

Objectives

The trainees who successfully complete the course will make a safer and more effective contribution to the operation and control of the cargo and ballast installation of oil and chemical tankers, which will improve the ship safety and provide greater protection of the environment.

Entry standards

The course is open to those already holding relevant cargo endorsements.

Certification

On successful completion of this course a certificate will be issued confirming that the holder has successfully completed Combined Oil and Chemical Tanker Cargo and Ballast Handling Simulator course in compliance with IMO model courses 1.37 and 2.06
